Makes you fall in love with or dislike characters? Then Authoress Miss Candice’s “Us Against Everybody” is a must read for you.Two people from different places in life cross paths and become inseparable. Faced with obstacles that are destined to keep them apart they embark on a journey unsure if they will survive through it all. Their bond becomes so deep that it becomes a game of Us Against Everybody. The question is who will win in the end?
First, I would like to say that I like books that are different and not your typical “urban/hood” story. I like those that step outside of the box to write from a different perspective/standpoint. With that being said, I have read all of Miss Candice’s books and love them all. So there was no question I had to get this book.
Secondly, this book had me so enthralled and engaged from page one until the end. At one point, I tried to go to sleep but couldn’t because I wanted to know what happened. I stayed up and finished the book the same night. Miss Candice has a way with words that makes you feel as though you are there living it with the characters. The flow of this book was just right not too fast and not too slow. The editing issues as usual was minimal. This book keeps you guessing as to what was going to happen next and is not the predictable love story that you may expect. Vice & Storm have a relationship that makes you realize that love makes you do and act in the most unexplainable ways. I thought of the mixture of #HoodLove and Let It Burn by Jazmine Sullivan as a possible theme song for them.
Do you want to experience a range of emotions? Do you want to remain captivated until the end? Then this is a must read. I will not say much about the characters for you need to read this for yourself to fully grasp it all especially with Vice and Storm. My new favorite couple! The ending will leave you in shock and demanding the sequel ASAP! Miss Candice, you have done it again Awesome!

Great storyline...
Not basic loved Vice and Storms characters. This is a urban tale with twist. Hope no one died after fall from.roof.
This book was sort've slow, but I still liked it in a way; honestly I think it was lacking a lil bit & the story could've been a lil better, but I'm still gonna check out the next few installments...
Loving this storyline. Proud of Storm with how she stood up to her father. I have a feeling it's going to get worse with that situation. Love always prevails, but will it in book 2? Miss Candice I'm loving this so far!
This was a good book, the characters, the flow of the writing, everything. It had my attention from beginning to end. What I also liked is that it wasn't an urban fiction drowning in sex. It had a story, however what I didn't like is how you left me hanging like that, like really, not my girl Jai. Going to buy part 2 now. Let's pray I'm not mad in that review lmao.
Storm is my girl. Her parents were too hard on her. I applaud her for standing up to her father. Love is love and you can't help who you fall in love with. The heart wants what it wants. Drama, drama, and more drama. Her and Vice against the world. Will they let her parents tear them apart? Hmm, we shall see. Part 2 please.
This book was sooo good... I love the characters... I love the relationship that Storm and Jai have... Although Vice was arigant and cocky he was good for Storm... I love the love that they have for each other even thought they try so hard to fight it... Storm is put into a difficult situation when her dad meets him and this happens to be someone that he is beefing with... Now Storm has some decisions to make... Not only is Storm dealing with this but also the fact that her best friend is out of control. .. Can she save her friend? The cliff hanger on this book though. .. It has me all in my feelings because I need to know what happens... I am going to need part 2 ASAP...
This was a good read. I liked Vice & Storm! It was a little slower then the other books by miss candice, however it still made for a good book! Im still team #Keem though! Vice hasn't measured up yet LOL! Im glad storm developed a backbone. Im sad about jai. Vice friends are not tough enough to be apart of his crew! They were making me mad! He has too many snakes around him for him to be a no nonsense type of dude. Storm may have to step up in the next book though! Fran im still a fan!!!! Lol!
